The LA Times recently published an article about the effect of CBD on dogs. Dogs and humans are alike in that both mammals have an endocannabinoid system. Your endocannabinoid system is the part of your body that is a receptor for CBD. The endocannibinoid system plays a crucial role in regulating a broad range of physiological processes that affect our everyday experience. Everything from our mood, our energy level, our intestinal fortitude, immune activity, blood pressure, bone density, glucose metabolism, how we experience pain, stress, hunger, and more. Achronically deficient or overactive endocannabinoid system can lead to disease. Since both dogs and humans have this system, pet parents have been sharing CBD with their dogs.
